As passionate fruit experts and private label specialists for juices, smoothies as well as fresh fruit and veg salads, we have been expertly producing goods for use in the ice cream, dairy, chocolate, baking and beverage industries for over half a century.

History

As a third-generation family business our thinking and working processes are defined by continuity, independence as well as sustainable growth.

1956

2024

Founded in 1956 by Kurt Bagusat in Possenhofen Castle just off of the shore of Lake Starnberg, we started off producing fruits and alcohols for the chocolate industry

In 1986 we opened a new production site in
Geretsried near Munich

In 2007 we successfully implemented our first aseptic PET filling process.

In 2017 we were able to further expand our technological leadership as the very first German fruit juice manufacturer to use HPP (High Pressure Pasteurisation).

In 2020 the first vegan dairy substitute range was introduced by Bagusat.

In 1982 management was taken over by Michael Bagusat and production expanded to fruit purees, concentrates as well as preparations for the European ice cream, dairy, confectionary, baking and beverage industries

In 2002 the company transitioned into its third generation with Alexander Bagusat at the helm. It was here that the first production line for fresh fruit and veg salads came to be.

With healthy snacking being on the rise, Bagusat uses its industry know-how to establish itself as a specialist in the field of refrigerated fruit juices, smoothies as well as fresh fruit and veg salads.

In 2017 the production site for squeezy fruit pouches was opened.
